I entered the world of woodworking at an early age. It was, in fact, before I could even walk. Even then while I was sitting in a pile of walnut shavings I could feel the magic of working with wood. Life did intervene and woodworking took a back seat to providing for a family. But another inspiring event took place in 1976 when I received my first email account on GE Services. The whole world of on line communications opened up. I continued my technical management career and was able to combine a love of woodworking and being a part of the on line community in the late 1990s.
In my career I worked diligently to mentor and teach others because it is another passion of mine. I carried that mentoring to the on line world of woodworking and have actively participated in many on line communities with thousands of posts. Unfortunately, most of that effort is lost somewhere in the ether. Of course, nothing lasts forever but I would have liked those postings to stick around more than a few years. But being a visitor and depending on unreliable photo hosts take a toll and quick show who is in charge.
So now I am embarking on a great adventure with my own website. Here is a place where I can control my own destiny and share my woodworking knowledge. Early readers will find themselves in an unpredictable environment as I learn how to manage the website and its many complex tools. The reward for early readers is my promise of comfortable and reliable service with great content. Thank you for joining me on this exciting adventure. I will work hard not to let you down.
